Important Notice on our Google Workspace Storage
This is to inform you about a critical update regarding our Google Workspace storage. Google's notification on Wednesday, 18 September 2024, indicated that our institution has exceeded the allocated storage limit for an extended period of time. The notification further emphasized the need to urgently reduce our storage usage to within the limit to avoid any service disruption.
To maintain access to our Google workspace storage and prevent potential disruptions, the following measures are being taken to reduce our storage usage:
i. Graduated Students' Accounts: All email accounts of graduated students will be permanently deleted after a one-week grace period. All graduated students are hereby advised to find an alternative backup for all important emails or files before this deadline.
ii. Attachment Policy Change: Effective immediately, email attachments will no longer be allowed. All files must be shared through Google Drive or uploaded to the school’s website, with a link included in the email. This measure is very crucial in reducing our storage usage.
iii. Emails older than two (2) years will be deleted to free up storage space. Within the next one week, please review and download all important emails or files that are more than two years old.
iv. Inactive accounts will be deleted. Please ensure your account is active and have a backup of essential data.
All staff and students are hereby advised to take immediate action to mitigate the risk of data loss. Your cooperation is essential as we implement these necessary measures to ensure compliance with Google’s storage policies.
Thank you.
