SON appoints LAUTECH Dean to standardize Computer Software 

Professor Adeolu Olabode Afolabi, Dean  of Computing and Informatics at the Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, Ogbomoso, has been inaugurated as a member of the NATIONAL TECHNICAL COMMITTEE ON SOFTWARE DEVELOPMENT by the Standard Organisation of Nigeria (SON).

 Having been inaugurated as a  member of the committee on *National Technical Committee Nigeria on ICT* he won an election as the *Chair of National Technical Committee on Software Development in Nigeria.

This involves Standardization of tools that includes computers, the internet, broadcasting technologies, and security. Job of the ICT group also includes the management and storage of information, as well as all associated services and applications.

The committee is also expected to work on providing Standard and Standardization for Software Development in Nigeria and also represent Nigeria on International Standard Organization (ISO).

This National Technical Committee includes academia, member of Software Professionals and Institutes and Government parastatals in ICT.
