CEST Opens New Co-Working Space for LAUTECH Community
The Centre for Emerging Skills and Technology (CEST) at Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH), Ogbomoso, has opened its newly established co-working space for use by the University community. The facility is located within the Seyi Makinde Innovation and Technology Hub at LAUTECH.
The development of the co-working space was made possible through generous contributions from LAUTECH alumni and a distinguished friend of the University. Major donors include Dr. Abimbola Alamu, Engr. Abidoye Johnson, Engr. Oyelade Oyedolapo, Engr. Adeleke Adebayo, and Engr. Abiodun Obajinmi (all Mechanical Engineering alumni), Engr. Adeyemo Adesegun (Computer Science and Engineering alumnus), as well as Major General Olapade Oyelade. Their support played a vital role in bringing the project to fruition, and CEST—alongside the entire University—expresses deep appreciation for their commitment.
With the recently installed solar power system now fully operational, the co-working space, conference hall, and classroom facilities are available for use by staff and students. The initiative marks another significant step in enhancing innovation, collaboration, and capacity development within the University.
