Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH) has once again demonstrated its excellence in innovation and research by emerging as the First Runner-Up in the Students’ Project Exhibition Competition at the International Conference and Exhibition on Power and Telecommunication (ICEPT) 2025. The event, organised by the Nigerian Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers (NIEEE), was held in Osogbo, Osun State, from October 14 to 15, 2025.

LAUTECH team, comprising Mubarak Erinfolami and Ajibade Ifeoluwa, both students of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, presented an innovative project titled AquaVise: An AI-Driven Aquafarm with Wastewater Management System. The project is designed to empower local farmers by promoting smarter and more sustainable aquaculture practices through artificial intelligence and efficient wastewater management.

The University community commends the students for their outstanding performance and creativity. Special appreciation goes to the University Management for their continued support and to the Director of the Centre for Emerging Skills and Technologies (CEST), Prof. Tesleem Asafa, for his invaluable mentorship and guidance throughout the team’s innovation journey.
