Our attention has been drawn to a tweet by a faceless individual erroneously attributing the unfortunate words to the Vice Chancellor of the Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH), Ogbomoso, 
Professor Razaq Olatunde Rom Kalilu.

Such a statement never featured in the about one hour and a half encounter of Professor Kalilu with the  Press.
We hereby put things in proper perspective:

The Vice Chancellor's response to a question by one of the Media Practitioners on the issue of armed robbery around the campus, was that members of Management of the University were determined to ensure that armed robbery and other vices became a thing of the past and that it would continue to collaborate with the Local Government authorities and security agencies to facilitate continuous patrol of areas populated by students of the University in spite of its non residential nature.
