LAUTECH Registrar Receives Belated International Women’s Day Honour
The Registrar of Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH), Ogbomoso, Mrs Olayinka Olanike Balogun, has officially received an Award of Excellence presented in recognition of her outstanding contributions, following her earlier absence at the main ceremony marking the 2026 International Women’s Day.
The Exceptional Award was originally conferred by Aye Obinrin Media Concept in conjunction with the International Federation of Women Lawyers during the celebration of International Women’s Day held on March 8, 2026.
Due to unavoidable circumstances which prevented her attendance at the event, the formal presentation was rescheduled and successfully carried out on Thursday, April 17, 2026, at her office within the University.
Presenting the Award, the Convener of Aye Obinrin, Mrs. Motunrayo Babatunde Makinde, commended the Registrar for her remarkable leadership, dedication to service, and impactful role in advancing institutional excellence and women’s development.
In her remarks, the Registrar expressed heartfelt appreciation to the organizers for the honour, describing it as both humbling and motivating.
She reaffirmed her commitment to upholding the values of diligence, integrity, and service that the University represents.
The brief but significant presentation ceremony further underscored the importance of recognizing and celebrating women who continue to make meaningful contributions to society, even beyond the commemorative day itself.
