INAUGURATION OF THE LAUTECH SSANU WOMEN’S COMMITTEE Ogbomoso,
In a graceful and well-coordinated ceremony steeped in camaraderie and purpose, the Senior Staff Association of Nigerian Universities (SSANU), LAUTECH Branch, inaugurated its distinguished Women’s Committee on Thursday, 13th November 2025.
The event, which exuded dignity and focus, took place at the serene and befitting Conference Hall of the LAUTECH Health Centre. Present were the Branch Chairperson, Comrade Fajoye Hamzat Esq., and members of the Branch Executive Committee, who lent the occasion the solemnity and prestige it deserved.
Performing the inauguration, Comrade Fajoye Hamzat Esq. charged the new committee to bring passion, excellence, and unwavering solidarity to the defence of the rights and welfare of female senior staff, while contributing meaningfully to the continued growth and influence of SSANU at LAUTECH. His words were both inspiring and empowering, setting a tone of purpose and sisterhood.
The Committee, composed of fifteen accomplished and dedicated women drawn from various departments of the university, is gracefully led by the Branch Women Leader, Comr. (Mrs.) Ojo Olamide of the Registry.

Immediately following the inauguration, the newly constituted committee held its inaugural meeting at the same elegant venue. The session was marked by warmth, robust interaction, and a shared vision as members articulated priorities and mapped out strategic initiatives for the tenure ahead.
In her acceptance remarks, the Women Coordinator, Comr. (Mrs.) Ojo Olamide, expressed profound gratitude to the branch leadership for the honour and confidence reposed in the committee. She gave a firm assurance that the women, united in purpose and strengthened by competence, would deliver exemplary service and elevate the voice of female senior staff within the union and the university community.
The occasion, though intimate, radiated inspiration, poise, and a quiet celebration of women’s leadership within SSANU LAUTECH.
