Alhaji Monsur Ayoade Ejide Donates Modern Equipments to LAUTECH Psychology Laboratory
Renowned philanthropist and community leader, Alhaji Monsur Ayoade Ejide, has once again demonstrated his commitment to educational advancement by donating critical equipment to the Psychology Laboratory in the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences (FASS) at Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH), Ogbomoso.The handover took place during a brief ceremony at the Department this morning, where Alhaji Ejide formally presented the equipment to the University Vice-Chancellor, Professor Razaq Olatunde Rom Kalilu. The event was witnessed by his wife, the Head of the Psychology Department, Dr. Olufunmilayo Adedoyin Oyinlola, the Dean of FASS, Professor Frank Ebijuwa, and other dignitaries.Alhaji Ejide, a childhood friend of the Vice-Chancellor, expressed his readiness to contribute even more to the university’s growth.
He recalled his previous donation of a multi-million-naira state-of-the-art bakery to the institution and affirmed that his family is committed to providing regular support to the Department of Psychology, while also exploring other areas where the university may need assistance.In response, Professor Kalilu expressed deep appreciation for Alhaji Ejide’s generosity and thanked Professor S. K. Balogun for the remarkable progress of the Psychology Department in its short period of existence.
He assured that the university would continue to recognize and honour its benefactors.This latest gesture further strengthens the long-standing relationship between Alhaji Ejide and LAUTECH, highlighting the vital role of private sector support in enhancing teaching and research facilities.
