LAUTECH inaugurates newly elected students’ Union Government Executive Council
The Management of Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH), Ogbomoso, has formally inaugurated the 10-member Executive Council of the LAUTECH Students’ Union Government (LSUG).
The inauguration ceremony, held on Thursday, September 17, 2026, with the Dean of Student Affairs, Dr. J. A. Adepoju, formally presenting the newly elected Students’ Union executives.
In attendance were the Deputy Dean of Student Affairs I, Dr. O. A. Adebimpe; Deputy Dean of Student Affairs II, Dr. M. O. Ajadi; members of the Electoral Committee, led by Mr. Biliaminu Al-Amin Adesina; and other stakeholders.
The new Executive Council comprises Mubarak Famakin as President, Esther Lawalson as Vice President I, Sobur Ajibola as Vice President II, Mahfus Ashafa as General Secretary, Okikijesu Omotosho as Assistant General Secretary, Jesutosin Isola as Financial Secretary, Abdul Rahmon Afolabi as Welfare Director, Nasirudeen Oyetoro as Public Relations Officer, Faruq Semi as Social Director, and Abdul Semiu Mikail as Sports Director.
Speaking at the ceremony, the Dean of Student Affairs congratulated the new executives and urged them to uphold the trust placed in them by the students.
He encouraged them to serve diligently in the best interest of the University and represent the institution positively.
The Chairman of the Electoral Committee also congratulated the executives and charged them to discharge their responsibilities diligently and in accordance with the demands of their respective offices.
The inauguration marks the formal commencement of the administration of the newly elected LAUTECH Students’ Union Government.
