The Bursar of the Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH), Ogbomoso, Mr. Kehinde Olusegun Olatokun, has been elected General Secretary of the Association of Bursars of Nigerian Universities (ABNU).

 

Mr. Olatokun emerged as General Secretary following the association’s election held on 10 June 2026. He was subsequently sworn in alongside other newly elected members of the executive at a meeting of the association held in Abuja on 17 September 2026.

 

His election is a significant recognition of his wealth of experience, professional competence, and contributions to university financial administration. 

 

Before his appointment as Bursar of the Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, Ogbomoso, Mr. Olatokun served as Bursar of the Abiola Ajimobi Technical University, Ibadan, and later as a Director in the Bursary Department of the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, Osun State.

 

He was appointed Bursar of LAUTECH in 2024 and assumed duty on 14 August of the same year. His election as General Secretary of ABNU underscores his professional standing and represents another significant milestone in his career.

 

The Association of Bursars of Nigerian Universities (ABNU) is the professional umbrella body for Bursars and heads of financial and accounting functions in federal, state, and private universities across Nigeria.
