Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH) has once again demonstrated its academic and intellectual excellence after emerging as Oyo State Champion in the 2025 National Orientation Agency (NOA) Campus Debate. Team LAUTECH distinguished itself by defeating all other participating institutions in the state to secure the top position. The debate was titled - analysing how digital technologies and innovative thinking can unlock entrepreneurial potential and drive inclusive economic growth. The winning team comprised Adekunle Ayomide Basit (Mechanical Engineering), Olatoyinbo Ayomide Pamilerin (Medicine) and Gideon Olawale Joel (Medical Laboratory Science).
Building on their state victory, Team LAUTECH proudly represented Oyo State at the Zonal Stage of the competition held in Abeokuta, Ogun State, where they emerged as First Runner-Up among participating universities across the South West. The debate’s title was Unity in Diversity: Defining National Identity in Nigeria’s Multicultural Societies.
The team was coached by the Director of the Centre for Emerging Skills and Technologies (CEST), Prof. Tesleem Babatunde Asafa, who provided strategic guidance throughout the competition.
