Team SAOT from Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH) Ogbomoso has won the 3rd edition of Prof Ogundipo Innovation Challenge. The Hackathon hosted by the Faculty of Life Science at the University of Lagos on November 27, 2025 saw LAUTECH defeating other teams from several universities to clinch the position.

The team, comprising Amoo Taiwo (Mechanical Engineering), Bello Abdullahi (Electronic and Electrical Engineering), Emmanuel Lafenwa (Mechanical Engineering) and Azeez Fatiha (Computer Science), was mentored by Prof. Tesleem Asafa, Director of Emerging Skills and Technologies (CEST) at LAUTECH. Earlier, three teams from LAUTECH were among the seven teams that made it to the final of the competition.

The strong performance is a testament to the robust training and education they receive at LAUTECH, which ensures our students continue to ace competitive events.
