LAUTECH shines at the 12th edition of All Nigerian Universities Debating Championship (ANUDC)
Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, Ogbomoso, participated in the recently concluded 12th edition of the All Nigerian Universities Debating Championship (ANUDC), held at the University of Ilorin from August 24 to 30, 2025. The championship featured three major events—Quiz Competition, Debate, and Public Speaking—bringing together top talents from over 40 universities across the country. Team LAUTECH competed in all categories. It secured 4th position in the Quiz Competition out of 23 universities, advanced to the quarterfinal stage in Debate out of 58 teams, and completed 7 Rounds in Public Speaking out of 59 participants.
The public speaking representatives were Adekunle Ayomide Basit (Mechanical Engineering) and Ogunkola Ifeoluwa Esther (Physiology). The debate contingent comprised Olatoyinbo Ayomide Pamilerin (Medicine), Gideon Olawale Joel (Medical Laboratory Science), Oyewusi Olasunkanmi Oyetunde (Medicine), and Idowu Oluwatobi Esther (Crop Production and Soil Science). The quiz team featured Stephen Oyewale (Medicine), Akorede Waris (Computer Science), and Raji Aliyah (Electronics and Electrical Engineering). The Deputy Dean of Students’ Affairs, Dr Micheal Ajadi, also served as an adjudicator during the tournament.
Team LAUTECH sincerely appreciates the unwavering support of the university leadership, whose commitment and sponsorship made participation in the tournament possible. With stronger structures in place, LAUTECH is poised to rise even higher in subsequent editions of the championship.
