LAUTECH benefits from Ekiti State Government Innovation Enterprise Support Fund receives ₦1,000,000
Students from Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH), Team Triumph, have emerged as beneficiaries of the Ekiti State Government Innovation Enterprise Support Fund for their innovative healthcare project, Automed.
The team comprises Abdullahi Bello, a 400-level Electrical and Electronics Engineering student; Fatiha Azeez, a 500-level Computer Science student; Taiwo Amoo, a 500-level Mechanical Engineering student; and Emmanuel Lafenwa, a 500-level Mechanical Engineering student.
Their project, Automed, is a smart medication management system designed to improve medication adherence among elderly, chronically ill, and memory-impaired individuals in homes and healthcare facilities. The solution leverages intelligent monitoring and automated medication dispensation to help reduce missed doses, medication errors, and related health complications.
The recognition highlights the growing impact of LAUTECH students in developing innovative technology-driven solutions that address critical societal and healthcare challenges.
