Strengthening Academic Visibility through Digitisation at Olusegun Oke Library
On Thursday, 22 January 2026, the Olusegun Oke Library, LAUTECH, hosted a special lecture on Online Visibility as a Career Accelerator as part of our ongoing digitization and empowerment agenda.

The event was graced by the presence of the University leadership, with the Vice-Chancellor ably represented by the Deputy Vice-Chancellor for Strategy and Development. Also in attendance were the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academics and Innovation), the Registrar, the Bursar, deans, students, and other distinguished members of the University community.

We were pleased to have Dr. Testimony Olajire facilitate the session, sharing his innovative framework designed to help academics and professionals strengthen their visibility and position themselves for greater impact.
It was an interactive session, and it was encouraging to see staff members begin to identify opportunities for turning their expertise into authority. One of the key points emphasized by the facilitator was that the true purpose of knowledge is impact. Research should not remain confined to journals or documents; it should be translated into accessible, social‑media‑friendly language that can shape conversations and influence behavior in meaningful ways.
This initiative aligns with our vision of a digitally empowered library, one that not only provides access to knowledge but also equips our community to amplify scholarship and make it resonate on a global scale.

I extend my sincere appreciation to all who attended and contributed to the success of this event. Together, we are advancing the mission of LAUTECH to remain a leader in research, teaching, and innovation.
