Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH), Ogbomoso, has emerged as the Second Runner-Up at the EPEX 2026 Engineering Project Exhibition hosted by NUESA UNILORIN Chapter at UNILORIN Main Auditorium  .The team presented AutoMed, a smart medication dispenser designed to tackle medication non-adherence by delivering the correct dosage at the right time.

The achievement reflects months of work by a multidisciplinary LAUTECH team: Amoo Taiwo and Lafenwa Emmanuel from 500 Level Mechanical Engineering, Bello Abdullahi from 400 Level Electrical and Electronics Engineering, and Fatiha Azeez from 500 Level Computer Science. Under the mentorship of Prof. Tesleem Babatunde Asafa, Director, Centre for Emerging Skillss and Technology.
