LAUTECH students Secure Runner up position at the prestigious Microsoft x Cisco x Teknowledge x American Business Council Cybersecurity Hackathon
Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH) celebrates the outstanding achievement of four of its students who distinguished themselves at the prestigious Microsoft x Cisco x Teknowledge x American Business Council Cybersecurity Hackathon. The team (Team Triumph), comprising Emmanuel Lafenwa (500 Level, Mechanical Engineering), Taiwo Amoo (500 Level, Mechanical Engineering), Fatiha Azeez (500 Level, Computer Science), and Abdullahi Bello (400 Level, Electrical Engineering), showcased exceptional innovation, teamwork, and technical expertise by emerging as the Second Runner-Up nationwide.
Their project, FraudRadar, is a privacy-preserving fraud intelligence network designed for Nigerian financial institutions. The solution addresses critical cybersecurity and fraud detection challenges while maintaining user privacy and data integrity.
The team was mentored by Professor Tesleem Babatunde Asafa, Director of the Centre for Emerging Skills and Technologies (CEST)
